H.R. No. 1553

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The grand opening of the new Texas Department of
	Public Safety Driver License Center in Corpus Christi was
	celebrated on March 12, 2015; and
	WHEREAS, Situated on an eight-acre site, this
	18,700-square-foot office is more than double the size of its
	former location, allowing a staff of 23 full-time employees and
	providing capacity for 12 work stations, 2 customer waiting rooms,
	and some 250 parking spaces; and
	WHEREAS, The state-of-the-art building has also been
	outfitted with expanded driving lanes for passenger and commercial
	driving skills testing and with an upgraded queuing system, which
	enables customers to remotely secure a spot in line; and
	WHEREAS, With this facility, the Texas Department of Public
	Safety is able to deliver even better service to the citizens of
	Corpus Christi, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in welcoming
	this notable addition to the city; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
	Legislature hereby commemorate the opening of the new Texas
	Department of Public Safety Driver License Center in Corpus Christi
	and extend to all those associated with the office sincere best
	wishes for the future.
