R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Rusty Senac was named 2014 Person of the Year by the |
|
|
West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An admired public servant, Mr. Senac is now in his |
|
|
second term as a Chambers County commissioner; he previously served |
|
|
for a decade as mayor of Beach City, and he was a member of the city |
|
|
council for 11 years; in all these roles, he has demonstrated |
|
|
exceptional commitment and a strong command of the issues; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Senac gives generously of his time and talents |
|
|
as a member of the Barbers Hill Lions Club and as a director of the |
|
|
Portrait of a Warrior gallery; moreover, he has served the business |
|
|
community on the boards of the chambers of commerce for Baytown and |
|
|
West Chambers County, and he is a former member of the Economic |
|
|
Development Foundation, the Bayou Bowl, and the Coastal Water |
|
|
Authority; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For many years, Mr. Senac was the president of |
|
|
Medical Marketing Services, and his clients included a variety of |
|
|
medical organizations, among them laboratories, physicians' |
|
|
groups, and clinics; he retired in 1992 and became a consultant; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure |
|
|
on the vision and dedication of its leaders, and through his public |
|
|
service and civic engagement, Rusty Senac has contributed |
|
|
significantly to the betterment of Chambers County; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rusty Senac on his selection as the |
|
|
2014 Person of the Year by the West Chambers County Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Senac as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
